Hanseatic wharf

About Bryggen

UNESCO inscribed Bryggen, the old wharf of Bergen, in 1979. Its rows of wooden buildings recall the Hanseatic merchants who traded here for centuries, and the cruise quays at Festningskaien and Bontelabo are a short walk away.

Why it's on our list

  • A short walk from the cruise quays
  • Wooden passages behind the façades
  • On the UNESCO list since 1979

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Bryggen before you go.
