The Ports of Faxaflói welcome cruise ships at Reykjavík and Akranes. Vör, Iceland’s first purpose-built cruise terminal, opened in May 2026: 5,500 m² over two floors, for up to 2,000 guests. Visit Reykjavík lists Skarfabakki, about 4 km from the centre and served by bus 16, as the main pier; Miðbakki, in the Old Harbour, is a walk from town; and Hafnarfjörður is 12 km away.
