About Monumento Natural Los Pingüinos
CONAF says about 7,000 pairs of Magellanic penguins nest on Magdalena Island, and Marta Island has a colony of imperial cormorants and sea lions. The monument opens daily between October and April; landings run from 9:00 to 18:00, rangers are on site, and the lighthouse holds a small information room. Keep at least 2 metres from the penguins.
